Head of Digital Services and Transformation
The role involves leading the development and delivery of user-focused digital systems, platforms, and services while driving digital transformation in Library and Cultural Services. The candidate will be expected to share leadership responsibilities, identify trends and emerging technologies, and continuously improve access, description, and discovery of content.
Key tasks include leading in the development of robust, innovative digital systems and Library websites, fostering a high-performance culture within the team, and managing digital transformation projects. The role also involves managing key digital risks, including cyber security, and developing strong data capability within the team.
The Head of Digital Services and Transformation will also be responsible for conducting market research, ensuring content is discoverable and accessible, developing tools to manage and preserve digital material, and fostering relationships with partners and suppliers.
The candidate must have excellent leadership and management skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent knowledge of the latest developments in access and resource discovery, and a deep understanding of managing cyber risk. A relevant degree or equivalent experience is required, along with substantial relevant senior experience in an appropriate library, cultural collections, or information environment.
