Acquisitions Librarian
The Acquisitions Librarian at University College Cork will be responsible for leading and coordinating the acquisition of information resources, managing the associated financial and administrative processes, and providing high-level expertise and advice to the University community. The role includes developing strategies, managing the University Library information resources budget, and ensuring value for money across the University. The Acquisitions Librarian will also be responsible for vendor relationship management, developing workflows and procedures for sourcing and ordering, and managing the receipt and payment of invoices. They will work closely with academic colleagues to develop and prioritize collection strategy, and maintain strong relationships with other University partners and publishers. This role requires a graduate qualification in library or information science or equivalent with relevant experience, excellent team leadership, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
