Learning Development Tutor

The Learning Development Tutor is a specialist in language, literacy, and academic practices, providing consultancy and guidance to staff and students. This role involves working with course teams to contribute to inclusive curriculum development and advising on inclusive teaching, learning, and assessment strategies. Duties include tutoring students, co-teaching with course tutors, and providing workshops, seminars, lectures, small group sessions, and 1-1 tutorials.

The Tutor is expected to work collaboratively within Information & Digital Services (IDS) and with other staff to enhance student experience across various courses. The role also involves contributing to IDS strategic planning, policy development, and operational decisions.

The Tutor should have a relevant first degree, an appropriate specialist teaching qualification, and experience working with a widening participation, internationalisation, and inclusive FE or HE setting. The role requires experience in teaching or supporting learning, designing educational materials, delivering teacher training and the ability to analyse course requirements. The role also requires active participation in learning and development to meet the requirements of the role and the University. A DBS check is required.
