Head of Library & Discovery Services
The Head of Library & Discovery Services will be responsible for the strategic planning and delivery of all library services, including resources, discovery, liaison and operations. They will provide leadership to all libraries, ensuring support for academic teaching, learning, and research activities. Working closely with the Assistant Director Digital Experience & Service Delivery, they will develop a clear vision for the library service and implement policies and practices relating to the delivery and operation of digital services. The role involves managing budgets, representing the library at University Committees, and overseeing engagement activities. The role requires a degree and/or relevant professional qualification and extensive experience in a similar role. It also requires comprehensive knowledge of work practices, procedures, and systems used in the department, as well as experience in project management, communication, and problem-solving.
