Summary

The Digitised Services Coordinator is responsible for managing the digitisation of accessible and copyright-compliant physical content to digital assets. They will manage the lifecycle of these assets as part of the library's collections, using a digitised asset management system and related tools. The role involves maintaining relationships between assets and taxonomies and metadata schema, as well as best practices and processes for efficient DAM use. The coordinator also resolves enquiries from service users and stakeholders, oversees related projects, and manages Library Assistants. Key tasks include managing digital assets, implementing metadata standards, ensuring legal compliance, developing policies and procedures, monitoring service demand trends, and maintaining relationships with suppliers and other university departments. Essential criteria include a good general education, experience in digitisation service and DAM management, knowledge of industry standards, experience with metadata schemas, and a systematic approach to problem-solving. Experience with library technologies and project work is desirable.
