The role also entails promotional and outreach activities, representing the library at university committees, and training and managing teams of Library Experience Co-ordinators. The librarian should contribute to quality assurance and assessment, and lead on projects where appropriate.

Applicants must have a degree or postgraduate qualification in librarianship or information science, or equivalent experience. Other essential skills include the ability to cope with change, innovate, and possess excellent communication, organisational and digital literacy skills. Experience in leading and motivating teams and knowledge of developments in the higher education sector are desirable.
