Open Research & Publication Practice Senior Library Assistant: The role involves providing comprehensive support for library research engagement services, including administering payments for Article Processing Charges. The job holder will liaise with various library and arts staff, academic/research staff, and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include resolving queries, processing invoices and orders, contacting other departments and stakeholders, contributing to system development, providing support to colleagues, compiling detailed reports, and providing on-the-job training/coaching. The role may require occasional work outside normal hours and at different locations. Essential qualifications include NVQ2, GCSE or City and Guilds level skills, previous administrative or secretarial support experience, good knowledge of the role and its context, and experience in data analysis, budget monitoring, and using institutional financial systems. The candidate should demonstrate good problem-solving skills, effective team management, and excellent communication skills.
