How to join the library at the University of Birmingham as a SCONUL Access member:
After receiving email confirmation from your home institution library that your application to join the SCONUL Access scheme has been approved, you will need to apply to join the library at the University of
Birmingham.
After completing the application form, you will be asked to provide electronic copies of:
- Your SCONUL Access scheme approval email
- A passport style photograph
We will then email you to confirm when your new University of Birmingham library card is ready to collect.
Please note: During the first six weeks of the summer term, we are unable to admit Band R SCONUL Access members due to increased demand for study spaces by our students who are studying for their exams. We also suspend registering new SCONUL Access members of all bands (A, B, C and R) during this time. Normal service for registering new SCONUL Access visitors resumes following this period.
