Principal Library Assistant (Open Research & Publication Practice)
Principal Library Assistant (Open Research & Publication Practice) is responsible for providing comprehensive support of open research and publication practice. Key duties include undertaking research and data analysis, providing advice on library research processes, mentoring and training other staff, reviewing procedures for efficiency, assisting with training and engagement, event planning, financial administration, and assisting with special projects.
Candidates should have a skill level equivalent to achievement of HNC, A-Level, NVQ3 with relevant work experience, be able to accurately analyze and interpret complex data, have knowledge of digital systems, and experience using institutional research systems. They should also have good planning, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Occasional out-of-hours work may be required, and the role may involve working at different campus locations. The role is office-based, with routine office hazards.
