Summary

Special Collections Librarian provides professional knowledge and expertise for their special collections services. The role involves planning, developing, delivering and enhancing services, providing specialist advice to users, and supporting teaching, learning, research, and engagement. Key responsibilities include designing and delivering services, assessing users' needs, managing collections, guiding users, and leading outreach activities. The position requires a Post Graduate Diploma in Library Information Management or equivalent experience, an understanding of the university's objectives, and the ability to apply principles and trends in a specialist field. Potential candidates should also have planning and organising skills, problem-solving abilities, management and teamwork experience, and strong communication skills. The job is office-based and may require occasional work outside of normal working hours and at various campus locations.
