Engagement Librarian (Southampton Online distance learning)

Engagement Librarian specialising in Online Distance Learning program. The position involves engaging with a wide range of service users, including researchers, educators, and students, and providing expert advice, guidance, and training. The role entails designing and delivering training for users, interpreting and analyzing complex information, promoting library services, and managing projects.

Applicants should have a Post Graduate Diploma in Library Information Management or equivalent professional qualification or experience. Experience in planning and progressing work activities within broad professional guidelines and/or broad organisational policy is required.

The job is office-based and may require occasional work at various campus locations. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with colleagues, provide guidance on complex issues, and use influencing and negotiation skills. They should also be able to delegate effectively, understand team dynamics, and formulate development plans for their staff.
