Summary

Head of Partnerships and Place manages strategic partnership with University Hospital Southampton (NHSFT) and National Oceanographic Centre. The role is office-based and involves developing long-term partnership relationships, leading on library and learning space planning, and managing library services to maximize efficiency and service quality.

Key responsibilities of the role include leading and developing external partnerships, overseeing the development of library buildings and associated learning spaces, leading and managing library services, developing a comprehensive staff training plan for the library, leading the performance management and development of team members, managing fixed-term projects, and other duties as allocated by the line manager.

The ideal candidate should have a Library Information Management Degree or equivalent qualifications or experience, proven project and/or people management skills, and the ability to plan and manage major new projects. Membership of CILIP or other relevant professional body and PRINCE2 or similar project management qualification would be considered an advantage.
