Head of Library Collections Management, Technologies and Systems

This job description is for the role of Head of Library Collections Management, Technologies and Systems at the University of Southampton, a Russell Group institution. The the post holder is responsible for leading the Library Technology and Systems team and helping translate strategy into actionable objectives and goals. The role involves advising the Library Leadership Team on new technologies, managing the storage and access of resources, creating technology policies, managing technological infrastructure, developing a data strategy, managing direct reports, and maintaining relationships with vendors. Candidates are expected to have a Library Information Management Degree or equivalent qualifications, proven experience in managing outcomes, project and people management skills, and a thorough understanding of current trends in collection management. The job may occasionally require working outside normal working hours or at different campus locations.
