Head of Collections, Acquisitions and Discovery: This role involves managing the acquisition, licensing, description, discovery, and access to all materials added to the library collections in both physical and digital formats. The role includes overseeing a content budget of approximately £5 million per year, ensuring it aligns with the university's strategic needs. The successful candidate will also be responsible for leading the Collections Acquisitions, Reading Lists and Discovery teams, and will have a range of responsibilities from managing budgets and preparing forecasts, to maintaining high-level relationships with suppliers. Essential qualifications include a professional qualification or postgraduate degree in an area relevant to the post, such as library or information science, and experience in managing the procurement of content within large annual budgets. The role is office-based and may require occasional work outside of normal working hours.
