Job Description

Summary

The University of Brighton is seeking an Assistant Librarian Research Output to support the research community in publishing and depositing their research outputs, and overseeing information in the university's institutional repository. The role entails managing content in the institutional and research data repositories, ensuring copyright compliance, and providing first-line support for academic and postgraduate research staff. The Assistant Librarian will also manage the deposit of electronic theses and ensure compliance with open access policies. Applicants should have a thorough understanding of the scholarly publication process, knowledge of copyright requirements, ability to work independently, excellent IT skills, and experience in cataloguing or metadata creation. A professional qualification in library or information science is required. The successful candidate will also participate in staff development programmes and represent the Libraries department positively.
