Summary

The University of Brighton is seeking an Acquisitions and Metadata Librarian. This role involves managing and developing the Library acquisitions and metadata operations. The candidate will manage the Acquisitions and Metadata services team in accordance with University and Library policies to provide high quality, responsive, customer-focused library services. Other responsibilities include managing and participating in the acquisition, cataloguing, and classification of library materials in all formats, and managing a team of Resource Assistants and Assistant Librarians. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of library cataloguing standards, knowledge of the academic publishing environment, and experience in a professional metadata and acquisitions role. This is a full-time, permanent position.
