Academic Engagement Librarian

The University of Brighton is seeking an Academic Engagement Librarian. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing partnerships with academic and professional service colleagues to provide information literacy and digital skills training across all academic levels. The role also involves developing and managing the library collections in all formats, according to the needs of the university community. The job includes managing and developing the Assistant Librarians Academic Engagement, participating and contributing to the planning and implementation of policies, and managing information resources. The candidate must have a professional qualification in library or information science and experience in interpreting complex information, delivering library skills sessions, and managing library collections. The role may require occasional travel to other university sites, and flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends is necessary.
