Systems Technician

The Systems Technician at Goldsmiths, University of London, will be responsible for all aspects of support, deployment, and maintenance of specialist library information systems, software, and hardware. The role involves liaising and managing relationships with internal and external suppliers and stakeholders, resolving issues, and improving systems to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Key duties include delivering excellent customer service, training customers to use library systems and facilities, maintaining expertise in the area of work, analysing data and statistics, engaging in library service projects, and managing relationships with suppliers and stakeholders. The Systems Technician will also be responsible for administering specialist library information systems, troubleshooting, maintaining and configuring library hardware and software, and providing technical support and expert advice to Library staff.
