Job Description

Summary

The Curator at Goldsmiths, based in New Cross, London, will manage and develop specified subject areas and collections within the Special Collections and Archives. They will provide research and teaching support to students, staff, and visiting researchers. Duties include collection management, cataloguing, communication, student engagement, outreach activities, and user experience work. They will also assist in fundraising and development activities, and contribute to the planning and execution of the Special Collections exhibition programme. The Curator will provide specialist research support and work on projects across the Library service. The role requires a degree-level education or equivalent experience, a professional qualification in museum studies or heritage management, and experience in managing museum collections, delivering training, and working with stakeholders. Advanced knowledge of collections relevant to the role, current and emerging technologies, and principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion are necessary.
