Research Data Steward
The Research Data Steward is responsible for providing expert advice and support for UCC researchers in relation to the development of data management plans. In addition, the post holder will add capacity to the research team by providing targeted supports for curation, management of active data, and the deposit of data in line with the FAIR Principles. Reporting to the Head of Research Services, the Research Data Steward will play an important role in developing the service offering, working closely with the Research Data Coordinator and library colleagues on the implementation of best practices in data curation, metadata description, data storage, archiving and preservation. The post holder will further UCC Library’s commitment to Open Research, and to the preservation and dissemination of unique UCC research outputs working collaboratively with researchers and research units, and other internal units, in particular IT Services and the Office of the Vice-President of Research & Innovation (OVPRI).
